Winner of the 2009 Red Dot Design award, Pirce suspension light by Artemide is a unique work of art and lighting design. Highlighted by its floating aluminum spiral, Pirce uses a halogen uplight to create movement and cast shadows across a space. Laser cut from a single aluminum sheet painted white, a thin disc is cut into a unique spiral suspended by stainless steel cables. The bottom of the spiral houses the halogen fixture, creating a brilliant uplight, casting shadows and reflections off the white aluminum spiral. Pirce is a functional suspension light that doubles as a work of suspended moving art.
