Gli Specchi di Dioniso

Ettore Sottsass
Glas Italia, Italy

"Yes, with great pleasure!" was world-reknown architect and designer Ettore Sottsass' response when asked by Glas Italia to design for them a range of coloured mirrors. Most famous for founding the 1980s post-Modern movement labeled Memphis, with its focus on unconventional shapes, brightly coloured surfaces and an apparent disregard for function over fun, Ettore's mirrors are intended to be part wall art, part functional mirror, and fully fabulous.

Gli Specchi di Dioniso is a series of six wall mirrors in various shapes and sizes, with frames constructed of elements in laminated coloured mirror, laminated coloured glass, and lacquered glass.
