Conceptual designer Marti Guixe, uses graphic iconography to create this modern rug. Tradition and modernity, classicism and contemporaneity are cut and pasted together to create a rational whole, fusing together without blending. Each monochromatic area represents the colours that are inside the frame of a traditional Persian rug. Contrast is embodied in Extended, using the traditional Persian tapestry as a point of departure, extending it to new, unexpected limits. Extended is 200 cm x 300 cm.
